Who am I?
I’m a bit of a multitasking ninja – part mum, part maker, full-time mess manager. I live for the giggles, the cuddles, and the sweet satisfaction of seeing a name perfectly stitched on a tiny backpack. When I'm not knee-deep in snack negotiations or stepping on rogue LEGO, you’ll find me stitching love into every bag that leaves my home studio.
Why Weary Theory?
It was one of those nights – the kind where you're half-asleep but still running on love. I was up late with my eldest, just before she started kinder, and the words Weary Theory popped into my head. A little rhyme, a little whimsy, and a whole lot of truth. Because let’s be real – parenting is a theory you test when you’re completely worn out. This name is a nod to all the weary, wonderful parents out there just doing their best (and occasionally smashing it).
How It All Began
Like most great stories, mine started in the middle of chaos – toys everywhere, a half-drunk coffee, and a mind buzzing with possibilities. I’d been on the hunt for something special for my daughter’s first backpack, and nothing felt quite right. So I decided to make it myself. One embroidery machine, a whole lot of YouTube tutorials, and many trial-and-error stitches later… Weary Theory was born. It’s been a slow and steady journey of love, growth, and gorgeous threads ever since.
A Day in the Life
Most days start with coffee and cuddles – and end with bobbins and bedtime stories. I juggle playtime with prep time, snack-making with stitch-setting. My workspace? Think thread spools, baby wipes, tiny socks and the occasional dinosaur. It’s not always tidy, but it’s full of life. Every backpack I make gets stitched in between snack breaks, nap traps and tickle fights – and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
